Music in the Rhinluch
Who does not long for the beautiful sounds of nature, its mysteries, its allure, its scents and ever-changing moods?
The resonances of the Rhinluch, stretching between Kremmen and Lake Neuruppin, captivate visitors and walkers alike in every season.
Around 800 years ago, early settlers named the river in memory of their homeland “Rhin”, the fluvius Rhenus.
Inspired by the richness of historical events and by the artists who have lived and worked here, the Rhinluch Festival brings together the sounds of music, history and art.
This region was once home to figures such as Schinkel, Fontane, Wilhelm Hensel and Theo von Brockhusen. The Battle of Fehrbellin left a lasting mark on European history, while the sight of up to 120,000 resting cranes and the remarkable number of stork nests continues to fascinate visitors today.
Here, internationally renowned artists and award-winning emerging musicians come together to present well-known masterpieces alongside new compositions that take shape within this unique atmosphere and gradually find their own voice.
Listen closely and allow yourself to be drawn in by the singular resonance of the Rhinluch. The close proximity between stage and audience creates an immediate connection with the musicians, inviting listeners to become part of the musical experience itself.
